If you're traveling to Barcelona this week for MWC, we'd love to see you at the Intel booth. You can't miss the LiveCast demo, it's front row and center!
LiveCast was invited by Intel to join them behind-the-scenes in order to ensure that live video could be demonstrated by global WiMAX operators.
The LiveCast WiMAX demonstration includes participation by over 16 WiMAX operators located in major cities around the world - with LiveCast-ready mobile phones, netbooks, PCs, MIDs and security cams. Whether from public trains, vehicles or building tops - transmissions are high-quality real-time video of the city streets, pedestrian traffic, and local landscapes. Each of the live video streams includes integrated GPS coordinates to allow real-time tracking of locations on a global map.
Individual operator pages are integrated into a large "video wall" made up of nine monitors. WiMAX operators livecasting to Mobile World Congress include: Aria (Italy), Clearwire (USA), DBD (Germany), Digicel (Jamaica), Global Data Services (Lebanon), ITRI (Taiwan), Libya Telecom & Technology (Libya), Max Telecom (Bulgaria), Mobilink (Pakistan), Nuevatel (Bolivia), OneMax (Dominican Republic), Packet One (Malaysia), Worldmax (Netherlands), Wipet (Panama) and Xanadoo (USA). Yes! it's quite a crew, and we'd like to say thanks to each and every one of them for the wonderful cooperation and fast turn-around of server and system set-up, and getting all the live feeds going.
And we really appreciate the positive response we've heard back from them and the early crowds at MWC!
