LiveCast launched its much awaited "LiveCast Lightning System" at NAB this week -- providing the ability to stream live from a reporter's phone back to the TV studio for real-time interviews on-air. Thanks to Verizon Wireless and Alcatel-Lucent for hosting the popular demo at the show.
“We’ve heard continually from our global broadcast customers that they want low latency, and to go live-to-air in real-time with High Definition output, direct from a mobile phone in the field,” says William Mutual, CEO. “The unveiling of our new LiveCast Lightning system at NAB this week, has proven to be right on target with broadcasters.”
LiveCast is already the leading provider of mobile video services to global TV broadcasters and news organization -- this latest enhancement will start shipping by the end of the month to current and new customers.
