Chances are
you, or several people you know, have Facebook. And chances are you know that
people use it to share their photos and videos. It has quickly become one of
the must have tools in the world of social networking. And as of this week,
LiveCast members can stream events live to their Facebook page from their
mobile device with a new Facebook Connect application! Not to be too boastful but this also means that LiveCast is the first to offer live video streaming from your mobile device to Facebook.
Here’s how to set up up your Facebook page:
1)
Login to your LiveCast account and click on 'Manage My Video' tab.
2)
Select 'Social Networks Setup' option, click on 'Facebook Connect' button,
and enter your Facebook username and password.
Note: You’ll have the option
to auto-post all the videos you stream or to manually select the video you want
to stream.
3)
Click save.
Now
that you’ve set this up, go ahead and grab your mobile device to see how it
works.
Here’s how to post to Facebook
from your mobile device:
1)
Launch LiveCast, and tap 'Start' to begin the live stream
2)
On a Windows Mobile device, select the drop-down menu for 'Sharing',
select Facebook and tap the 'Share' button. For Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones,
select 'Sharing' from the options menu, then select Facebook.
We’ve
been playing it with here at the office but we’d love to hear your feedback and
any new ideas about how we can make this even better.
Can this feature be used from a windows laptop or is a windows mobile device required?
