In an idealic setting of Carmel, California, LiveCast's new 3D video streaming system was put to the test. A local media team used Pro 3D cameras and LiveCast to broadcast the event live. A plethora of the most amazing collector cars were featured in the live event, all available for viewing (no glasses needed) on any 3D ready device, including TVs, laptops and phones.
What makes LiveCast's system unique is the capability to transcode the 3D video into the various 3D standards on-the-fly in real-time. Car fanatics around the world were able to view the event from the comfort of their home on a 3D TV, or while on the go on their 3D smartphone. From a production stand-point, it's capture once and stream everywhere LIVE.
As 3D ready screens become common place, LiveCast will continue to work with industry partners to roll-out the solution to media and TV broadcast customers, and specific enterprise verticals (oil and gas, construction, first responders, law enforcement and security).
