Premier’s ticketing app only runs on the PC, so it had to be the target platform. LiveCast Uploader was integrated with the ticketing app, and then installed on all field technicians’ laptops. Relatively low cost mini DV cameras were acquired to capture the video.
Now, when a camera is
connected to the laptop, the LiveCast app automatically incorporates the
ticketing metadata, compresses the video and uploads it into the LiveCast
server system.
LiveCast’s intelligent upload technology ensures that if bandwidth is interrupted, only the data remaining will be transferred when reconnected.
Both Premier office personnel and customers have immediate online access to video through desktop ticketing application.
